Thad Akins is the sole owner of Akins Trailers Sales. Mr. Akins has 16 years of competitive experience in the equine world including 8 in the professional ranks of rodeo. Mr. Akins has won numerous awards including:

- Northwest Professional Rodeo Association Finals contestant
- In the top 25 of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association's Columbia River Circuit
Mr. Akins also currently serves as a Director for the American Cowboys Team Roping Association.
